People of all ages can learn to dance. Students from 18 to 80 have learned to dance in a fun and easy way using the World Famous Arthur Murray® teaching method.
Arthur Murray® Dance Center offers a fun, comfortable learning environment. The Fun and Health Benefits of Zumba®
We also offer Zumba®, an easy-to-follow segment of dance aerobic movements. Zumba® uses a variety of styles in its routines, including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, reggaeton, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and Hip Hop. Music selections include both fast and slow movements to help tone and sculpt the body in a healthy, fun, party-like atmosphere with Latin and Hip Hop inspiration all in one. Zumba® Toning raises the bar (or rather, the toning stick). It combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba® moves to create a calorie-torching, strength training. Students learn how to use lightweight, maraca-like toning sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs, glutes and thighs.
Zumbatomic® is a high-energy fitness-parties packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines. It rounds out family fitness goals by giving parents a great reason to head to the gym – for themselves, for their kids, for a totally fun family experience. The Physical and Health Benefits of Yoga
Yoga has been practiced for more than 5,000 years, and currently, close to 11 million Americans are enjoying its health benefits. Yoga can hardly be called a trend. Most Westernized yoga classes focus on learning physical poses, which are called asanas. They also usually include some form of breathing technique and possibly a meditation technique as well. Some yoga classes are designed purely for relaxation. But there are styles of yoga that teach you how to move your body in new and more physically challenging ways.
Stretches, tones and strengthens muscles; strengthens bones and decreases stiffness in joints; improves flexibility and ease of movement; increases endurance and respiratory efficiency; helps to improve posture and oxygenation of body tissues; and stimulates the immune system.
