I’ve been thinking about water lately. A lot. We all know we need it. Wouldn’t last long without it. So you’d think we’d treasure it – like gold or diamonds; protect it – like our children or our country; secure it – like our homes or our freedom.
But NO! The truth is most people don’t give it a second thought. When it comes to water, we’re unconscious. Well. Not all of us.
While we may feel that water is free and abundant, corporations have made big business out of securing, bottling and selling us water. And we’re buying it – over $11 billion a year in the U.S. alone!
So what are we buying? Water direct from the fabled Fountain of Youth? Hardly! In most cases we’re getting tap water. Tap water sitting in plastic bottles and trucked across the country or even shipped around the world!
From an environmental standpoint, we’re talking about 38 million plastic bottles going to the dump each year just from water consumption – we’ll save the soda bottle discussion for another day. And don’t forget to factor in the 24 million gallons of oil which are need to produce the plastic bottles plus the 756 million gallons of oil used to transport all those bottles so we can pick them up at our convenience.
It’s clear we need to shift this paradigm. We need a new plan. We need a new normal where reality meets perception. We need the security of a safe and abundant supply of water without all the big hits to our environment and our pocketbooks.
Fortunately we don’t have to formulate a new plan ourselves. We just need to find one that really works and make the necessary changes. The solutions I am going to share with you today have been researched, designed and created by Nikken, the world leader in wellness and wellness technology. Nikken’s PiMag® Waterfall™, and PiMag Sports Bottle are more than just water filtration systems, they are vehicles that turn ordinary tap water into clean, filtered and enhanced drinking water for a fraction of what bottled water costs. And you’ll be saving more than money — at the same time you’re helping to protect the environment.
The PiMag Waterfall is superior to filtration in other water systems that cost ten times the price, require electrical power and produce wastewater. PiMag Water Technology includes a gravity-fed system of multiple filters that provides a defense against a broad range of tap water contaminants. Among the filtration media employed is a natural carbon filter that captures microscopic particles. The final stage features a bed of mineral stone that emulates the agitation/tumble filtration provided in naturally-cleaned streams.
The slightly alkaline water produced by the PiMag Waterfall may help offset the acidic nature of a typical modern diet and other environmental conditions. And as an alternative to commercially bottled water, the PiMag Waterfall helps reduce the number of discarded, disposable bottles that become trash in landfills.
Now if you’re like me, constantly on the go each day, how do you get your 8 – 10+ glasses of water each day? You could fill up a large (BPA-free, of course!) jug from your PiMag Waterfall and lug it around with you all day. But you don’t have to!
Nikken offers the PiMag Sport Bottle, with similar filtration, pi and magnetic technology incorporated in the self-contained filter. It holds 21 ounces of water – more than enough to quench any thirst but not so much that it’ll weigh you down. The Sport Bottle is environmentally responsible in many ways: the biodegradable bottle shell (containing no BPA or other potentially harmful compounds) eventually breaks down into natural soil nutrients. Filter components are replaceable, to extend the life of the bottle. The PiMag Sport Bottle is the clean, economical and intelligent alternative to commercially bottled water
Water is one of the most important parts of a healthy lifestyle and healthy planet, so make sure that you are choosing the best possible water, avoiding dangerous plastics, and getting enough vital minerals for your optimal health.
