When our family takes a cruise, we usually look at the itinerary first, then the ship. We enjoy historic sites, museums, theatre, wineries, good food, hiking, skiing, and shopping. Celebrity offers all these adventures, except maybe snow skiing! This is why I am escorting a group on The Celebrity APEXsm, May 30-June 06, 2020.

Now let’ talk about the APEX. Her inaugural sailing is April 01, 2020. She is the sister ship to The EDGE®, which we sailed on last April.
The EDGE is the best luxury designed ship that I have experienced. It has unique restaurants, a beautiful spa and The Retreat, is in a class of its own. The Suites range in size from The Iconic Suite with 1,892 square feet and your own Peloton Bike, to the smaller Sky Suite at 313 square feet, not including the balconies.
The best feature of The Retreat is the quite calming atmosphere, reserved only for Suite Class guests. It has its own pool, hot tub, bar and restaurant, extremely comfortable cushioned lounge chairs and the 5 Star Luminae Restaurant. It is like your own private Yacht, with impeccable service.
However, you can take advantage of the larger ship amenities such as extravagant nightly shows, wonderful shops and a totally smoke-free Casino.
If you happen to be an animal advocate like me, you might want to consider The Galapagos Islands, on the new Celebrity FLORA, with only 100 guests. It is one of my most favorite destinations and I cannot wait to return. I will be escorting a group in 2021, on this all-inclusive ship, with an optional post trip to Machu Picchu.
