Taming the Munchie Monster With the hCG Diet

Men and women constantly refer to their weight problem as an addiction to food.  Most of us have foods that are irresistible to us.  The chief culprits are primarily snack type foods, either sweet and creamy or salty and crunchy, but it really can be anything.   There are ways to tame this munchie monster and  the hCG protocol, practiced as it was originally planned, is actually a way to bring one’s eating under control.

Our nation lives in a culture of gluttony.  If I were to sum up the problem, it would be eating without hunger.    Many of us have an inability to discern real hunger from emotional hunger.

We can sit and eat a bag of chips watching the “Biggest Loser” or some morbidly obese cook on the Food Network each night and mindlessly gain pound after pound.

Weight loss statistics are grim.  Less than 2% of the people who are 50 pounds or more overweight will lose the weight and even grimmer, less than 2% of those who lost the weight will maintain the loss for at least one year.  When you hear people say diets don’t work, this is what they mean.

I hate hearing the traditional hCG protocol being called a diet.   An excellent book has been written called “Weight-loss Apocalypse Emotional Eating Rehabilitation through the hCG Protocol”  by Robin Phipps Woodall.
