Gynecological Office Visits are now Available with Kimberly
Nursing plays a significant role in her family as she is part of four generations of nurses. (grandmother, mother herself and daughter). Kimberly is married and originally from Upstate NY where she was a well-
respected provider for a large OB/GYN practice. She continues to learn new and exciting ways to help her patients achieve their goals.

She finds much gratification in allowing her clients to obtain tools and education to empower them while encouraging each patient to participate in their individualized care plan. Kimberly believes that every day is an opportunity to learn and appreciate those she interacts with. She is looking forward to helping clients optimize each visit at Florida Integrative Medicine.

Hormonal Imbalance
Hormonal imbalance must be evaluated and properly diagnosed, as treatment can be tailored to each patient. Due to the limited estrogen supply, the walls of the vagina start to thin out, causing dryness, burning, and inflammation. This can make intercourse very painful, cause urinary disorders, and may even interfere with daily activities due to the extreme pain and discomfort that it can cause.

The ugly truth is that many women, both post and pre-menopausal and even some women after giving childbirth, have vaginal disorders, pain, and issues that they often keep to themselves. They think that it’s just a normal part of aging, but there are many options to relieve vaginal vulvar atrophy. You don’t have to live with these symptoms. Vaginal Atrophy disrupts your life! Changing the hormone levels through bio-identical hormone therapy can alleviate or in many cases eliminate these symptoms.

Bioidentical Hormone Therapy
In the U.S., Bioidentical Hormone Therapy (BHT) has been used since the 1930s. Multiple studies have shown marked improvement in symptoms and quality of life. Bioidentical hormones are equal to our body’s natural hormones on a molecular level. The difference between synthetic and identical hor-
mones is that synthetic hormones do not match human hormones on a biological level. FLIMC custom tailors’ hormones according to each patient’s needs. Bioidentical hormones are made from plant sources and are readily received by the body as natural and healthy. They are much more therapeutic and effective than synthetic hormonal substances.

Bioidentical progesterone provides the most efficient way to integrate with the body’s natural progesterone receptors. This is critical because body receptors are structure specific. A few of the benefits from bioidentical progesterone are an increase in bone health, protection against breast cancer and endometrial growth, an antidepressant effect, controlling blood clotting and increased libido.

On the contrary, Progestin (synthetic) doesn’t have quite as many benefits. In fact, it has more negative effects, like, miscarriages, weight gain, decreased sex drive, increased risk of breast cancer, high risk of fractures and osteoporosis, increased blood clotting risks, anxiety, depression, migraine headaches, and other health-related disorders. With personalized medicine, Bioidentical hormones can be compounded and made specifically for each patient’s needs.

PRP & the O-Shot
As women age, they often have numerous gynecological issues that arise such as:
• Vaginal Dryness
• Chronic pain from childbirth
• Persistent pain from mesh
• Decreased libido
• Decreased Pleasure
• Interstitial cystitis
• Lichen’s syndrome
• Urinary incontinence
• Bowel incontinence

An in-office procedure called the O-Shot can alleviate and help with all of these conditions. Platelet Rich Plasma is taken from the patient via a blood sample and reinjected in between the bladder and the front wall of the vagina. The natural regenerative effect of PRP strengthens the muscles, rejuvenates the soft tissue and mucosal areas. Many women find remarkable relief and improvement after the O-Shot. The results are long-lasting, safe and highly effective.

Anti-Aging-Facials
PRP injections are an alternative to Botox and fillers. Platelet Rich Plasma as mentioned above, is taken from the patient’s own blood, spun down and reinjected into the face just like a filler to create and stimulate your body’s own growth factors. PRP produces collagen, hyaluronic acid, elastin, and plumps the skin.

With just four to six PRP treatments over a two to four-week period, patients are seeing results that last for up to 2 years, so over the long-term, it’s very cost effective and 100% safe. You don’t have to be concerned about toxins or chemicals with your own PRP.

FLIMC also offers stem cell rejuvenation, which is injected in the same manner. These can be taken from the patient’s adipose tissue or from Haematopoietic stem cells that are strictly regulated and cleared by the FDA.

Florida Integrative Medical offers many more services for women’s health including thermography for cancer detection, IV infusions, and gynecological examinations just to name a few.
