WHAT IS CANCER?
Cancer is the general name for a group of more than 100 diseases. All cancers develop because “abnormal” cells grow out of control.
WHAT ARE “ABNORMAL” CELLS?
The body is made up of trillions of living cells. If a cell is normal- they grow, divide and die. During the course of the early years of human life, normal cells divide at a rapid pace so growing takes place. In later life, normal cells divide only to replace cells that die or need repair due to injuries. However, abnormal cells continually grow and form new cells which are also abnormal cells. Every cell has DNA and the DNA give cells their direction or “jobs” in the body. When a normal cell’s DNA gets damaged the cell dies or repairs itself. When a cancer cell’s DNA gets damaged the cell doesn’t die or repair itself. Instead it makes new cells that the body doesn’t need and they all have abnormal DNA. These are called cancer cells, that invade other tissue.
HOW DOES CANCER SPREAD?
Cancer cells travel, grow and form new tumors. They like to live in an environment where they don’t get an adequate supply of oxygen. (Note: Hyperbaric oxygen treatments are available at YOLLO Wellness)
HOW COMMON IS CANCER?
- Based on 2012 cancer statistics, 1 in 8 woman will be diagnosed with cancer of the breast during their life time.
- Men’s life time risk for developing breast cancer is 1 in 1000.
- Florida has the second highest death rate, ranking just below California in almost all regions of the body for cancer. Texas was higher in uterine, Leukemia and Melanoma. Therefor Florida has the leading death rates in BREAST, COLON, LUNG, LYMPHOMA, PROSTATE AND URINARY, according to the Cancer Journal for Clinicians published January 2012.

Thirty percent of all cancer is diet related according to Dr. Jenson and The Cancer Research. The ALCAT food and environmental allergy test has been around for over 24 years. The ALCAT Test is a simple blood test that can be used to identify food and other factors that induce innate immune system activation.
It measures changes in size and volume of white blood cells in response to ex vivo challenges with foods, chemicals and other environmental stimuli. It is not an “allergy” or IgE test. It is the most effective and comprehensive sensitivity/intolerance test available. It is more effective than standard IgG tests because they rely exclusively on one immune pathway: serum levels of IgG. High food specific IgG filters are indicative only of exposure, not intolerance. Therefore, high frequency of consumption or overexposure may lead to false positive with IgG testing escalated into a bigger more costly problem.
A client came to us with knee pain. He only wanted one region imaged. After explaining that often pain is referred sometimes from our back or other areas of our body, it may be a good idea to get a full body scan. What was found with him is the main vein in his leg was totally closed. The valve that was in the upper thigh was shut closed. It wasn’t knee pain, it was vascular! The stories are amazing what the camera has indicated versus what the client “thought” was going on. DITI scans are widely used for breast scans, however they can be used to detect various changes in the body.
Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT) uses ambient air in a portable, inflatable hyperbaric chamber to increase the atmospheric pressure. The use of ambient air instead of 100% oxygen provides many benefits because of the mixture of carbon dioxide and other natural gases we breathe. It also makes it very safe because you cannot reach a point of oxygen toxicity.
HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) is simple to understand. Our brain, which actually only makes up 2% of our body, uses 20% of our oxygen intake. On average, an individual consumes about six pounds of oxygen per day, (not using physical activity). This process outweighs any other nutrient demand. Oxygen performs many roles in the body, but its primary role is in the production of energy. We were taught that food is our energy. This is only half the fact. We do need fats and carbohydrates, which are forms of stored energy, but they are unusable in their current form. Before cells can convert this energy into molecules of ATP, there must be oxygen.
In order to understand the dramatic effect of increase oxygenation on cancer (and all anaerobic disease) it is important to explain the conditions which allow cancer cells to not only survive but multiply and flourish. In order to do this an explanation of the metabolism of healthy and unhealthy cells must be explained in more detail.
A normal healthy cell burns oxygen and glucose (blood sugar) for energy and releases carbon dioxide. This healthy cell is functioning aerobically- in the presence of sufficient oxygen. No anaerobic (cancer, Epstein Barr, herpes, mono, genital warts, etc.) can flourish, replicate or even survive in this oxygen rich environment. An unhealthy or diseased cell is lacing sufficient oxygen. This is very inefficient and is a severe drain on the body. This energy burning process (sugar fermentation) releases mainly lactic acid and carbon monoxide instead of carbon dioxide. This cell is functioning anaerobically- with no oxygen present. Cancer, viral diseases, etc. flourish in this environment-little or no oxygen and low PH.
Anaerobic cells must work harder than aerobic cells to produce energy from the glucose they metabolize. Therefore, anaerobic cells burn much more glucose to produce the same amount of energy as aerobic. Cancer cells exhibit this anaerobic mode of metabolism- lack oxygen, high glucose consumption, carbon monoxide and high lactic acid production. Cancer cells thrive in this high sugar-low oxygen environment but cannot exist in the opposite condition of high oxygen-low sugar mode of healthy cells.
Dr. Otto Warbug won the Nobel Prize in Medicine for proving that a cancer cell cannot exist in an oxidizing, healthy cell. In “The Prime Cause and Prevention of Cancer” 1976, it was stated… “THERE ARE MANY CAUSES OF CANCER, BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE PRIME CAUSE…THE LACK OF OXYGEN AT THE CELLULAR LEVEL.”
