Addiction Freedom and Powerful Change

By Bob Long, President  Nova Medical SWF, Inc. –

Addiction Freedom and Powerful ChangeDependence on opiate pain killers is at an all time high and is destroying the lives of individuals and families every day.  On the west coast of Florida we are seeing some of the highest death rates due to drug overdose in the state.  Many people suffering have sought treatment only to find themselves right back where they started.  If these facts scare you, know that they scared us too and provided the motivation to create a different option for those seeking help.

We are pleased to announce the opening of Nova Medical’s second location at 3431 Bonita Beach Rd.  #208,  Bonita Springs, Fl.   Developed by   Dr. Raymond Johnson, psychiatrist and addictionologist, Dr. Robert Allen, psychiatrist, and Bob Long, our program creates the best chance for long-term success in substance abuse treatment.

Our motto is Addiction Freedom/Powerful Change.  This is achieved by applying an evidenced-based strategy that has shown to get results.  Patients are treated in a discrete, confidential office  setting.   We work with each patient to develop a schedule that will work for them.

Addiction is a chronic disease, just like diabetes, asthma or hypertension, and we treat it as such.  To achieve the best results in all disease states, patients must be treated on many levels.  We use a combination of prescription medications (Suboxone and others), nutritional counseling, exercise recommendations, personal coaching, social support, and outside support to give individuals every opportunity to achieve their goals.

You may be saying, “That sounds like a lot, why do you do so many things?”  Clinical research has shown that each one of these components significantly contributes to success rates.  Using these interventions, we work with individuals to develop a plan that fits the situation.  No matter what, we’re here to help every step of the way.  If you or someone you know is seeking treatment or is suffering due to abuse of pain killers, please consider contacting us.
