Women Caring for Women

Emily Clements is the mother of two young children, a 3-year-old girl and a 10-month-old boy. And like so many other working mothers, Emily is tasked with maintaining a careful balance between career and motherhood—managing the demands of family life while maintaining the medical needs faced by all women.

The difference is, when Emily Clements goes to work every morning, she is Dr. Emily Clements of the newly formed Complete Women’s Care of Naples. As one of three female physicians headlining this special women-focused practice, Dr. Clements notes, “Because we are women ourselves, we understand how it feels to be a woman seeking medical care as well as the importance of a welcoming and comfortable environment.”

Complete Women’s Care of Naples is a new strategic affiliate of Physicians Regional Healthcare System and fills a much needed service line in the medical group that has not been previously offered in the community. Complete Women’s Care of Naples is open to expectant mothers and women of all ages needing gynecological services. Among the specialties offered are well-woman evaluations; pre-conceptual care; infertility issues; management of pregnancy, labor and postpartum care; menopausal care; birth control; permanent sterilization; minimally invasive laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation; tubal occlusion; and abdominal procedures.

Dr. Clements began practicing in Mount Clemens, Michigan in 2004 and joined Physicians Regional Healthcare System in 2008. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and earned her Doctor of Osteopathy from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, where she graduated sixth in her class and received the Psi Sigma Alpha National Osteopathic Honor Society and Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society Awards.

Clements continues, “One of the great gifts of being part of an all female practice is having the time to guide and teach our patients and, just as important, to learn from them too. When I was expecting, I was surrounded by more motherly advice than I could possibly ever hope for. This benefit extends to the other end of the spectrum. Though Dr. Hilton, Dr. Harrington and I certainly understand the medical side of issues like menopause, it’s our patients who sometimes teach us what it means to truly support menopausal women, not just medically but emotionally as well. You simply can’t learn that perspective in a book.”

Complete Women’s Care of Naples consists of Clements, Jeannie Hilton and Catherine Harrington, all OB/GYN physicians with many years of experience. Dr. Jeannie P. Hilton has been practicing for more than six years. A Pennsylvania native, she earned her Bachelor of Science from Penn State University and her Doctor of Osteopathy from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

She completed her general osteopathic internship in Lancaster Pennsylvania. Dr. Hilton completed her OB/GYN residency at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C. Dr. Catherine M. Harrington has been practicing since 2004 and joined Physicians Regional in 2009. She earned her medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. She later completed an OB/GYN residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Ill. Dr. Harrington’s medical specialties include high-risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology and family planning.

Clements adds, “As a community of women we all face the same potential issues in our lives. It’s important our patients know we are here to listen as well as to provide expert medical guidance. All patients, especially women, want to know they are being treated and respected as individuals with individual needs, goals, and backgrounds. We strive to exceed those expectations every day.” According to Todd Lupton, CEO of Physicians Regional Healthcare System, “The women in our lives work tirelessly to care for those around them.

Each of these women deserve to have a caring, compassionate place to receive high quality medical care as well as informed emotional support. We are so proud to offer such a highly unique combination of services at Complete Women’s Care of Naples.”

Complete Women’s Care of Naples located at 2350 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Suite 201, and as part of the Physicians Regional Collier Campus at 8340 Collier Blvd.
